Home of Schlitterbahn, voted America’s best water park by Amusement today and featured on multiple travel channel shows!! If you say you’re going to Schlitterbahn, you either get a quizzical look or a face filled with excitement. For me, it was on my bucket list.
Schlitterbahn did not disappoint. It is made of three water parks (Blastenhoff, Surfenberg, and Schlitterbahn West – we cannot make this up) within walking distance of each other. The original Schlitterbahn West is run with water from the nearby river, which many of the slides empty riders into. With rides like the Master-Blaster, Wolfpack, and Revenge of the Dragon (complete with faux fire!), the new wings provided the extreme water rides to complete the experience.
