You would think that the state capitol would be closed to visitors on a Sunday, especially since the Texas state legislature only meets every odd numbered year for 140 days. We were able to get a quick tour, learn all about Texas State history, and see the ins and outs of the impressive building. What I found most interesting is virtually all of the building materials – limestone, granite, tarazo, etc. – were procured from different parts of the state.Many thanks to our very generous host and travel partner, Jeff Pence.
